About

We are Time & Tides, from Castleford, UK We are a Pop Punk band which has arisen from the former band 'Athens'. Our music is melodic and loud; hard hitting drums, complex riffery, driving basslines and vocals a songbird would be proud of! We have a massive amount of fun when playing music and recording in the studio, we are 4 big personalities and that enthusiasm and light-heartedness always comes across in our songs (Except To The End.. That ones pretty dark). Give us a listen and a follow; we're always looking for somewhere new to play or for a new person to listen to our material so please get in touch! Thanks T&T

  • Take the wings from a Fly.. Does it become a Walk?

Hi peeps! Apologies for the inactivity this year, everyone in the band has been majorly busy with other commitments -Lee bought a Saab estate -Martin has been killing work down in Lincoln -Curtis is now a certificate truck driver -Adam has been 'finding himself' However, these last few weeks have been great! Written 3 absolutely monster songs and we're gunna be demo'ing one of our songs mid March. The set and how we perform it has been polished so its now a performance, rather than a bunch of songs that we've laid claim to! The next stop for us is hopefully a mini tour and management. We've had a few people showing managerial interest, so now its a case of getting something finalised! End of March/ Start of April we'll have a demo uploaded on here, so I'm hoping people will enjoy it! Peace

  • Do Ghosts change their clothes?

Hi guys! Thanks for taking an interest in our page and our music! It's been a busy few months for us as of late, so finding the time to actually sit and write a blog has been difficult. Just want to give a quick background of our story so far... We started out in 2010 as a collaboration of 2 local bands. We were called 'Athens' and released 2 E.Ps and 2 separate singles, supported some great bands and went on some good UK tours. However, at the height of our apparant success, our guitarist was diagnosed with a Hodgkins Lymphoma, a form of cancer. This basically shut us down for 2 years; we weren't sure whether it would be a gig or a funeral service we would have to attend in the then furture. As selfish as it sounds, this couldn't have come at a worse time; we were due to set off the next morning to the UK's biggest student music festival (playing the second stage), labels were interested in signing us on and we were main support for some of the UK's biggest punk pop/ rock bands. Our silver lining came when Lee received the all clear and we were left with the question "Shall we pick things up again?". The answer was yes. We're now hungry for success, and that combined with our grown maturity, the new lease on life, and a growing love/hate relationship with one another, has left us passionate and driven to hit the big time. We're a lot wiser now, both in the studio and in the way that we conduct ourselves with bands, promoters and venues. The band is turning into a business opportunity for us, and we're loving every minute of it! I apologise for the soppy and long blog; hopefully the other blogs will concern much more philosophical questions like: Who framed Rodger Rabbit? Does a Ducks quack echo? Why is Christmas Day so long? and most importantly, Do Ghosts ever change their clothes? Peace out, Guys T&T
