Static Reply is a pop-punk band from Albuquerque, New Mexico formed in late December of 2008 by Michael Candelaria, Tyler DeJong, and John Candelaria. The band started writing songs, but picked up Steven Lackey in late February, and then Ross Vogel in June. Loaded with the melodic rifts of Blink-182 and the complex, fluid piano style of Jacks Mannequin and the Fray. This mash-up of conflicting genres truly shows that opposites do attract. Brothers John, and Mike Candelaria share the microphone, and don’t hesitate to press their natural influences into each and every song. Static Reply is a band that not only wants to create music, but also create something that pushes the boundaries of today’s genres and further progress the music scene.
