About
Trained By Aliens is a pop-punk band from Kingston, Ontario, that started up in August of 2012 with guitarist Hugh Bakhurst, drummer Ryan Mahon and bassist/vocalist Wryan Doyle. After a single show and a lot of writing, the band decided they needed one more member, and so Wryan switched to a second guitar and they turned their friend Lucas Rychlo into a bassist. He saw his debut with the band on February 15th, 2013 after a small number of practices with the band. Shortly after Lucas' introduction to the band, Trained By Aliens began recording their debut EP in Wryan's basement. The recording process was finished over approximately a month, and their EP has been up and available for free download (as well as physical copies being handed out at shows) since April 24th and has received positive reviews from friends, family and fans. Trained By Aliens generally takes influence from Californian punk bands from the 1990s/early 2000s, although they have been described as sounding like early Sum 41. They always bring an action-packed, energetic performance and always try to get their audience moving.

What's Going On With Us
Hello everyone! To make a long story short, our former drummer and bass player have left, and now we have two new members, my good friends Ryan Mahon and Hugh Bakhurst! Ryan plays drums, and Hugh plays guitar. We're still on the lookout for a bassist! Anyway, after we get started up, hopefully we'll get to have some shows and such set up! -Wryan
