Forming in Late 2011, Pants optional are a 5 Piece punk/hardcore band from the central coast N.S.W known for their fast paced, energetic live shows and unique style that draws influence from all aspects of the punk/hardcore scene. They are known for their unique style, that mixes the fast paced aggressiveness of 90's punk and hardcore together with guitar/vocal melodies that showcases the bands wide range of influence. Although the band delivers a positive message through their lyrics,by addressing political and social issues they don't like to take themselves too seriously. "I think that addressing issues that everyone can relate to is a good way to send a positive message but at the same time, we play music because we like to. We want to make sure we still have fun otherwise it's easy to get bord with what you're doing" -Dale-bass/backups. Some bands PANTS OPTIONAL have had the privilege of sharing a stage with include GUTTERMOUTH(USA), TEN FOOT POLE(USA) and Aussie Punk royalty FRENZAL RHOMB as well as a host of local talent including LOCAL RESIDENT FAILURE, LIBERATION FRONT, 10past6 and IVAN DRAGO
